A big thank you to our friends at the Long Island Museum for opening their doors, and their hearts once again. They're currently collecting games and snacks for our Agape holiday bags, helping us make this season a little brighter for the kids we serve. Year after year, the LIM community steps in with such genuine care, and we're so grateful to be part of their circle. Thank you to the entire LIM team for thinking of our kids in such a real and thoughtful way.

Pastors Emily and Michael Liebler and the community at Local Church in Farmingville helped us bring something special to our kids again this year. They collected over 200 games, Connect 4, UNO, and Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza, all wrapped and ready to tuck into our holiday bags. This is the second year they've stepped in at just the right moment, offering to help and carrying it through with so much care. The wrapping alone says so much. Each gift handled as if it were going to someone they personally knew. We're grateful for Emily, Michael, and everyone at Local Church.

We stopped by the Book Fairies' beautiful new space in Hicksville recently, and there's something very special about seeing shelves filled with stories that will soon be in a child's hands. We picked out so many wonderful books to include in our AGAPE holiday bags, and knowing how much our kids enjoy choosing a book of their own made the visit even nicer. We're so happy for them on their move, and just as grateful for the relationship we've built over time. Eileen, Amy, and Sherry always welcome us with such warmth and help us find books that feel thoughtful and meaningful. They've become an important part of how we add a little extra joy to our kids' bags. Congratulations on your new home, Book Fairies, it's a perfect fit.

For the second year in a row, these wonderful kids packed snack bags for us to include in our Christmas bags, and it's become such a beautiful tradition. The JOY children put so much love into choosing snacks they knew our Agape kids would enjoy, you can feel their kindness in every bag. A special thank you to Jennie for guiding the group with such warmth, and to all the parents for supporting the children in this meaningful act of giving. We're so grateful for each of you.

At the Comsewogue Library, Assemblywoman Rebecca Kassay and her wonderful team brought people of all ages together to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for local nonprofits and shelters. They also shared over 400 jars of peanut butter and jelly with Agape Meals for Kids, helping fill weekend food bags for children in our program. One of the simplest but most comforting meals there is, a PB&J, will be waiting at home because of their generosity. It was one of those evenings that fills you with hope, seeing neighbors, families, and new friends come together just to do something kind, especially now, when so many families need it most. That's what love in action looks like. Thank you to Assemblywoman Kassay and her amazing team for leading with heart and for sharing your generosity with so many.

The incredible Brandon and Melissa Choplain have gone all out once again at Fox Run Court in Port Jefferson Station, turning their street into an unforgettable Haunted House experience, all to support Agape Meals for Kids.

We're so thankful for Manny, Dean, and Evan from the Port Jefferson GOYA youth group and their wonderful advisor Linda Batuyios, who spent their Saturday outside the Miller Place Stop & Shop collecting food for Agape Meals for Kids! This small but mighty team gathered over 700 pounds of food, plus monetary donations, enough to fill dozens of weekend backpacks for local children. Sometimes just a few caring hearts can make the biggest difference.

The school year is fast approaching, and as we get ready to relaunch our weekend meal program, we wanted to welcome the kids back with some extra school supplies to help them start the year strong. We were so lucky to have amazing volunteers step in to help us pack! The Stony Brook University Women's Basketball Team brought their teamwork, energy, and heart as they assembled school supply bundles for the students we serve. And, Hannah, a dedicated Girl Scout who regularly volunteers with her troop, stopped by with her two cousins to lend a hand. Even during her summer break, Hannah found time to help and together, they packed bundles with love. Every backpack, every bundle, every moment of care helps a child feel ready, supported, and seen. Thank you to everyone who helps us make that possible.

Wai is in Colorado, getting ready to take on the Hardrock 100 Endurance Run, a race that's been a personal dream for years. And true to who he is, he's turning that dream into something more by dedicating it to Agape Meals for Kids. Lisa and Denny are right there with him, showing up the way real friends do, steadfast, present, and full of heart. Go Wai, we're with you every step of the way!

This past school year, the women of Saint Paraskevi Philoptochos took on something extraordinary: providing weekend meals on behalf of Agape Meals for Kids to children in the Harborfields and Northport–East Northport school districts. With the support of their chapter, and the incredible weekly dedication of Georgia Misoulis and Fran Bertos, dozens of children quietly received food-filled backpacks each Friday, ensuring they had something to eat over the weekend. This partnership means more than just food. It means comfort, consistency, and the knowledge that someone cares. We are deeply grateful to Georgia, Fran, and the entire Saint Paraskevi Philoptochos community for walking beside us in this mission to care for food-insecure children across Long Island.

On June 21st, we had the joy of joining AHEPA 319 for their 4th Annual Car, Truck & Bike Show, a beautiful day filled with community, kindness, and purpose. AHEPA has supported Agape Meals for Kids since the very beginning, and thanks to their generosity, we've now filled over 18,000 backpacks with weekend meals for children across Long Island. We're so grateful to AHEPA 319 for continuing to lift up our mission, and to everyone who came out to support.

Last Tuesday, we had the joy of partnering with Patricia Poggi and ejspjspajamadrive to deliver brand new pajamas to the children we serve in the Rocky Point School District. Patricia's generous donation made it possible for each child to receive cozy, beautiful sleepwear picked with love.

Thank you to the Willets Road Drama Club for collecting cereal and soup for our local kids during their recent run of Shrek the Musical! Under the wonderful direction of Ms. Eve Troiano, these talented young people brought incredible heart to the stage, and they showed just as much heart off the stage by giving back to their community. A standing ovation for your great show, and for everything you do for your neighbors!

A huge thank you to Paul Van De Water from Crest Oral-B and Dr. Emily Gavras for making sure every child in our program receives a toothbrush and toothpaste kit as part of their spring treat bags! Your support goes beyond the items themselves, it tells each child that their well-being matters, and that caring people are thinking of them. Thank you for your kindness and for helping us bring healthy smiles to our kids!

We're sending a huge thank you to three amazing Girl Scout troops who've stepped up in such meaningful ways to support Agape Meals for Kids! Girl Scout Troop 1343, led by Lisa Unander and Kaethe Cuomo, recently conducted a food drive that brought in incredible donations. Girl Scout Troop 3693, with the help of leaders Claudia and Sarbella, spent time collecting food and packing weekend bags with care and dedication. And Girl Scout Troop 991, guided by Lisa Molinelli, hosted a wonderful food drive at Stop & Shop, inspiring their community to give. Each of these troops brought their own energy, compassion, and creativity, and together, they've made a tremendous impact. Thank you, Girl Scouts, for showing what it means to serve with heart!

Anthony, an Eagle Scout candidate, organized this food drive as part of his Eagle Scout project, and he went the extra mile in every way. With the support of his buddies from Troop 124, they collected nearly 1,000 pounds of food for Agape Meals for Kids! Anthony's leadership, planning, and enthusiasm show exactly what it means to lead with heart. We're so proud of him and grateful for Troop 124's partnership in this meaningful effort. Thank you, Anthony and Troop 124, for making such a difference!

A heartfelt thank you to Alison Quinn and her family for keeping a wonderful tradition alive! When her children were young, they started collecting donations for causes they cared about, and years later, the family continues to give. They recently sent us $287 along with a beautiful card letting us know how much the good work at Agape means to them. Traditions like this remind us of the power of family, generosity, and teaching the next generation what it means to care. Troop 1343 showed fantastic spirit and dedication during their food drive as part of the Girl Scouts Give Back initiative. Troop 3693, with Claudia and Sarbella, didn't just collect food; they also brought it back to our site and packed bags for the upcoming week. Troop 991, under the leadership of Lisa Molinelli, held a food drive at Stop & Shop. Your initiative to organize and run this event is greatly appreciated and has had a significant impact on our community.

Huge shoutout to Anthony Ferrara for organizing an outstanding food drive at Stop & Shop in Farmingville this Sunday! Anthony took on this project as part of his path to Eagle Scout and truly went the extra mile, bringing our community together to support a great cause. Every year, the dedicated GOYA youth group, guided by their advisor Linda Batuyios at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Assumption in Port Jefferson, collects peanut butter and jelly for our 'Spread the Love' initiative. From the beginning of this tradition, your efforts have ensured that kids in our program have something special to enjoy over Valentine's Day and the Presidents' Week school break. Your continued support and concern for children in need are a testament to your compassion and caring spirit. We are deeply grateful.

The amazing children and parents from Holy Trinity in Hicksville hosted a food drive for Agape Meals for Kids, and we couldn't be more grateful! Not only did they donate food, but they also assembled snack bags that will go into our Thanksgiving packages for children in need. Had the pleasure of teaching a lesson on 'Maddie's Fridge', and the JOY kids truly embraced its message of caring and kindness. This Thanksgiving, our hearts were full of gratitude, thanks to the generous donation from Manhattan Strategies. Each child in Agape Meals for Kids received a special breakfast bag filled with delicious pancake mix and syrup, ensuring a joyful and nourishing start to their holiday. Once again, the Suffolk County Girl Scout Troops have donated hundreds of pounds of food for Agape Meals for Kids through their Food for Friends initiative. Exciting News: AGAPE Meals for Kids is now reaching more children in the 2024-2025 school year!!! Thank You Georgia Misoulis, the St. Paraskevi Ladies Philoptochos Society and Kimco Realty for making this possible! With the support of Georgia Misoulis, the St. Paraskevi Ladies Philoptochos Society has partnered with Agape Meals for Kids to provide meals for children facing food insecurity in the Harborfields and Northport/East Northport School Districts. Last month, Kimco Realty generously helped by purchasing food and packing over 50 bags for these children to take home. Thrilled that the St. Paraskevi Ladies Philoptochos Society is joining us to expand our mission to fight childhood hunger on Long Island, and deeply grateful for Kimco's support in helping us serve these children for the next school year. Thank you to these amazing women and this fantastic business!

Thank you to every member of the Suffolk County American Legion Auxiliary. Because of your generous donation of $2100 and your kind support, we are getting better prepared for the next school year. And we know that the children who receive Agape backpacks and their families are very grateful too. Along with their impactful bottle redemption program, which led to a generous donation of $130 to Agape Meals for Kids, Dean also sent us a beautiful handwritten letter and created a special certificate for our organization. Dean, your thoughtful actions and the students' engagement truly exemplify agape—selfless love that uplifts our community. Thank you, Dean, and all the young environmentalists at Sunrise Drive for your generosity and heartfelt dedication. Thank you to Principal Pearl, Clinton Elementary School, the Student Council of Terryville Elementary School, and Student Council Advisor Dana Urbinati. They worked together on a Super Bowl where they collected soup and mac & cheese for Agape Meals for Kids!

For this past holiday season, they ran a fundraiser where they raised $2450 in gift cards for Stop & Shop and presented them to us! With this incredible support from the Ladies Philoptochos, we will continue to buy meals, snacks, and drinks to keep those backpacks brimming with goodness (and a little fun).

They've gathered pancake mix and syrup to make Thanksgiving breakfasts for kids in our backpack program. Special thanks to their Philoptochos President, Despina Taiyanides, for spearheading this heartwarming effort.

A group of incredible teenagers from The Holy Resurrection GOYA in Brookville invited Agape Meals for Kids to speak with them about childhood hunger and food insecurity on Long Island. Then, they immediately turned their compassion into action by preparing over 200 snack bags for children in our communities.

What do baking, kind people, and Thermo Fisher Scientific have in common? Together, they make a fantastic fundraiser! The amazing Pam Jones-Nill has organized another fundraiser at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Along with a generous matching donation from the company, this time they raised $1700 for Agape Meals for Kids!

As you probably know, they hosted a beautiful fundraiser for Agape a few weekends ago. That fundraiser was such a gift to Agape! But in addition to all they did, this local business also donated $500 to us.

They placed a full-page ad in the playbill for The Prom to support Agape Meals for Kids. This contribution not only raises awareness but also demonstrates their dedication to making a positive impact in our community. And the cast and crew of The Prom collected donations for Agape at the same time!

Their unwavering commitment to our cause has made a significant impact in our mission to provide nutritious meals to children in need. With their donation, we can continue to ensure that every child has access to wholesome food, promoting their growth and well-being.

The entire school came together to create lovely cards for all the children receiving backpacks from Agape Meals for Kids. The students poured their hearts into each card, personalizing them with creativity and empathy.

Sending a huge thank you to Theatre Three's Vivian Koutrakos, Jeffrey Sanzel, and the entire cast and crew of 'Something Rotten!'. By organizing an ongoing food drive and encouraging theatergoers to contribute, Theatre Three has demonstrated a remarkable commitment to giving back.

Terryville Student Council and Clinton Elementary did an amazing job of spreading the word and collecting canned food. Now, all those donations are going right into the backpacks Agape Meals for Kids prepares each week. You showed us how the power of teamwork and community spirit can really make a difference.

We are thrilled and grateful to announce that Agape Meals for Kids has been formally recognized by the Comsewogue Board of Education during their recent board meeting. They acknowledged the role that Agape plays in supporting students within the district through our backpack program.

We are absolutely thrilled to extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation to the 2nd Grade Student Council and PTO at Miller Avenue for their outstanding efforts in organizing their 4th annual St. Patrick's Day fundraiser. They raised a whopping $475 for Agape Meals for Kids!

By becoming a monthly supporter of Agape Meals for Kids, they have demonstrated a profound understanding of the importance of extending a helping hand to those in need. Their selfless contributions are an important part of the filled backpacks that go out every week.

They just finished a food drive for Agape Meals for Kids and collected over 600 pounds of food, including 250 cereal boxes! This school community is full of compassionate and active students and staff who are making a difference in our world.

The organization conducted a substantial food drive benefiting Agape Meals for Kids. They provided donations packaged in reusable bags, representing their first contribution from Connecticut.

Nearly 500 books were selected by Agape staff from the Book Fairies' collection for Spring Break bags. The message highlights how 'empowering young minds is as important as making sure they have food to eat.' This represents the second donation from Book Fairies within a single year.

A teacher at Boyle Elementary whose students receive Agape support wrote expressing comfort knowing children were 'well fed throughout the weekends.' Her class organized a cereal drive, creatively setting up dominoes display down school hallways before donating 147 cereal boxes.

The Ladies Philoptochos participated in their district's Children's Weekend Backpack Food Drive Collection, selecting Agape as their donation recipient. Their contribution includes food, drinks, and snacks supporting weekly backpack fulfillment.

Students conducted a book drive to collect materials for Agape's Spread the Love Valentine's Day campaign. Each child receiving backpacks received new books, PB&J sandwiches, and gift items. The message emphasizes how such initiatives teach 'empathy, compassion, and responsibility.'

Both schools participated in annual Souper Bowl Canned Food Drive benefiting Agape. Student councils, staff, and families collected canned goods now distributed through weekly backpacks. The message celebrates 'teamwork and community spirit.'

School of Rock performances at Suffolk Theatre included donation collection for Agape at each show. The message thanks 'talented, caring musicians' for using their gifts to help children experiencing food insecurity.

Kimco Realty invested time, resources, and care preparing 50 filled backpacks. The message notes backpacks 'look amazing' and demonstrates genuine care for recipient children.

The group assembled over 45 decorated food packages for Agape. The message expresses encouragement about their support in combating childhood food insecurity on Long Island.

Staff organized a bake sale raising significant funds for Agape. The message acknowledges the 'high cost of food and baking ingredients' and expresses deep appreciation for their resource contribution.

The family and associated athletes purchased pancake mix and syrup, decorated gift bags, and created care messages for Thanksgiving breakfast distribution. The message describes children's excitement and anticipated family meal togetherness.

Broad Thanksgiving message thanking all donors for enabling 'special pancake and hot cocoa breakfast' distribution. Extends wishes for health and happiness.

A donation bin was established at Tri Fit collecting over 130 pounds of food. The message celebrates combining health services with community charitable work.
